Princeton & Nearby
Gibson County Fairgrounds, a sesquicentennial attraction with facilities leased for other special events. Jack Bishop Field, a youth baseball/softball complex.

The municipally-owned Lafayette Park, Princeton Municipal Pool, Lincoln Park and Southside Park offer picnic facilities, playground equipment, tennis and basketball courts, softball and baseball diamonds and outdoor basketball and tennis courts. In fall and winter months, Gibson County Youth Center, 129 s. Hart, offers indoor sports and after-school activities including homework incentive programs.

YMCA Camp Carson at Seminole Lak offers camping facilities, lodging, swimming, canoeing, crafts, sports and hiking.

Gibson Lanes, Ind. 64 East in Princeton, offers 16 lanes for open and league bowling, video games, pool tables and a snack bar.

Fish & Wildlife Conservation Club on Lake Gibson offers fishing and picnicking to members.

Princeton Country Club, Old 41 near Patoka, is a 9-hole golf course offering membership and public green fees.

Princeton Theater, 301 W. Broadway, offers four movie screens and a large snack area.

Seedtick Raceway features go-kart racing on Seedtick Road just south of the city.

The Princeton Courthouse is on the National Register of Historic Places. Decorated in a rich exterior of Indiana limestone and pressed brick from St. Louis, the courthouse is an architectural work of art. The interior tile floors and walnut trim with brass railings add detail to this beautiful building.

Oakland City
New Lake camping facilities, CR1350 East. Old Lake fishing allowed with some restrictions. Wirth Park offers shelter houses for reunions and activities, playground equipment and a sand volleyball court. Jack Smith Memorial Little League Field offers baseball league play for children up to age 12. East Gibson Girls Softball Fields used for girls softball leagues through high school age. Wood Memorial High School tennis courts available for public use when not in use by school teams.

City Golf Club, located one mile east of Ind. 64 on Ind. 57, it is a nine-hole course that is open to club members and for public greens fees. The club also has a full-service restaurant and pro shop. The club number is (812) 749-3923.

Lin's Lanes has 12 bowling lanes with open and league bowling, a "family fun center" with video games, and a snack bar. The bowling alley is located on Ind. 64 and the telephone number is (812) 749-3127.

Owensville
Montgomery Park on the town's west side available for picnicking. Owensville Community Center, available for rental. Grounds include playground equipment and ball diamonds.

Gibson Lake Recreation Area, owned by Duke Energy west of Owensville at the Wabash River, is a 2,950-acre lake available for fishing and boating spring to autumn. Gibson Lake Wildlife Habitat is a 160-acre wetland wildlife viewing area at the Gibson Generating Station main entrance near the Wabash River. There is a photographic blind and two trails.


Fort Branch
Fort Branch Community Park accommodates baseball/softball fields, picnicking, features enclosed shelters and playground equipment. Gibson Southern High School's running track and tennis court available for public use, as are Fort Branch Community School's running tracks, basketball and tennis courts.

Haubstadt
Tri-State Speedway, on U.S. 41, offers Sunday night auto racing, late models, sprint cars, open wheeled modifieds and stock car racing. Haubstadt Community Park off Ind. 68 southest of town, offers picnicking, shelter houses, baseball and softball diamonds and playground equipment.

Hazelton
Community center/playground available for rent for reunions and activities.

Francisco
Softball field two blocks off Ind. 64, league play for children.

Buckskin
Hemmer Woods Nature Preserve on CR1050 East is 73 acres of old-growth forest, a scenic hiking trail, considered a National Natural Landmark. Henager's Memories & Nostalgia, non-profit museum featuring local, stante, and national history exhibits ranging from holidays to veterans memorabilia.
